You're working for a firm that sells spell-checking software. You think it would be a great idea to tell the world what a good job you're doing.
TextTrust's Pat Brink thought so. Unfortunately, Brink issued a news release without doing a spell-check. As a result, the firm had to issue a correction after spotting a series of spelling bloomers.
Brink's blunder has made headlines around the world. Poor Pat - we've all made mistakes, but happily rarely so embarrassing.
Someone suggested to me that this was a PR stunt. What do you reckon?

I'd not thought of that possibility. If it was a stunt, it's certainly raised the company's profile. But I'd be wary about creating a story that questioned my client's competence in its core area of expertise!
